Tahina sauce
This tahina sauce is creamy, nutty and flavorful- perfect on falafel, shawarma, grilled meats, fish and salads! It comes together in five minutes with five simple ingredients.

- 1/2 cup tahina
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced or crushed
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp salt plus more if needed
- 1 lemon start with 2 TBS juice, add more as needed
- water
Optional garnish
- 1 TBS minced parsley mixed in or as garnish
- paprika or sumac
- olive oil drizzle
Combine tahina, garlic, cumin, salt and lemon in a mixing bowl and whisk until full incorporated. It will be become quite thick, this is normal.
Add 1/4 cup of warm water and whisk thoroughly to incorporate. Then, a teaspoon add a time, add more water to thin the sauce to desired texture. If it gets too thin, add a touch of tahina.
Taste and adjust for seasoning. Then transfer to a serving bowl. Serve as is, or garnished with herbs and spices.
